The filler injection is done with anesthesia, but it may still cause some pain.

The durability of the filler depends on the type of filler chosen and can be permanent or temporary.

If this procedure is performed by a dermatologist, there are no complications except temporary swelling and redness.

The treatment time frame depends on two factors, your goal of the injection and the type of filler used. In most procedures, the actual injection takes 10 to 25 minutes, with a few follow-up sessions if necessary over the months following the injection. Of course, this time is except for the time required for consultation sessions with the doctor, which must be done before starting any type of treatment. It is very important to discuss your medical history and any possible medical conditions with your doctor. In particular, tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you have a history of severe skin scarring or skin discoloration disorders. Also, talk to your doctor if you are taking blood thinners or treatments that weaken your immune system.

During the first few days, your face will slowly settle into its final shape, giving the injectable fillers time to show more. In most cases, the final results will be visible after the first few days. In rare cases, the two sides of the face may not be equal. A few additional sessions may be needed for re-injection to eliminate any unevenness in the face, but before that, a consultation session with a doctor will be needed to examine and investigate the exact cause of the unbalanced appearance of the face. When the final results are known, the vast majority of patients will be satisfied with the results.
